TANGERINE FILMS 2011 Jaguar cars line-up advert shoot!
Alex had the great privilege of working on an exclusive and very secret new Jaguar car commercial shoot at Park Royal just before Christmas. Alex worked alongside very esteemed figures in the film industry, including cameramen from the global hit 'Top Gear', and other crew who have worked on films like Harry Potter for the last 10 years, Pirates of the Caribbean, and many others.
Whilst there Alex not only gained fantastic experience on set, but also some great contacts. Alex shot behind the scenes footage, which will hopefully be edited by Alex at Tangerine Films' offices at Pinewood studios!
(Celeb gossip - Lady Gaga popped in at the famous studios for a photo shoot! Unrelated to the commercial shoot however)

NEW MUSIC VIDEO!
Empire Safari's music video to their new single 'Ouput Alexander has just completed and released the new music video for 'Ouput'. Directed, shot and edited by Alexander, the video includes advanced hi-speed camera shots done at Pinewood studios. The concept runs around the band unable to write new material and lacking inspiration. With very stylised compositions and shots, the music video is on par with those seen on MTV, and has been getting very excited and positive response from early viewers. This is AWT Films' first music video, and we're pleased to say its a success. To see it, just click on the title of the article and you'll be taken to Youtube!
High-Speed Filming at Pinewood studios - Alexander had the great privilege of shooting a series of high-speed shots of Vinyl records and Vodka bottles smashing at the studios, following in the footsteps of great directors like Kubrick, Powell and Ridley Scott, to name but a few!
Thanks to Movietech, who supply camera equipment to some of the biggest blockbuster films such as Prince of Persia, An Education etc. Alexander used an advanced High-speed camera recording at 500fps to shoot some truly incredible footage which will be used in the Empire Safari music video currently in production.
Empire Safari Music Video - Alexander has started work on the music video for an up-and-coming Oxford based band 'Empire Safari'. The music video is slated for release with the bands next single 'Output' in September, and will use innovative ideas visually, technically and thematically to accompany the song.
Benson and I HDR photographs - Alexander was recently commissioned by a start-up fashion label called 'Benson and i' to produce four background photos using the specialist HDR process to create ethereal photos with high visual appeal of vibrant colourful gardens to accompany the 'English Summer' theme Benson and I is using. The photos can currently be seen in their promo material.
Whittawer Clothing Company -
has commissioned Alexander of AWT Films to redesign the lighting in their flagship store in central Oxford. Alexander advised on how to make the shop look brighter, and show off the products. This entailed redesigning the lighting layout and advising on aesthetic changes such as a larger window display area, and working out how to create an innovative projected display background showing promo videos Alexander also created a seasonal winter display for the shop.

4 Play Events commissioned AWT Films to create a video loop for projection all round the Bridge club, the largest Nightclub in Oxford. The brief given was 'Lettery' to follow the theme of the company. PINEWOOD STUDIOS
Alexander was working at Pinewood studios last summer and whilst there was commissioned by Reelsound - the sound behind some classics like V for Vendetta, St. Trinians, Love Actually, Perfume as well as many other major films - to help edit their showreel. The showreel will be used to promote Reelsounds services in Hollywood and other production circles. Alexander was also helping out in the office of Screen South, as well as introducing himself to many of the companies based at the historic Pinewood studios - home to all the Bond films!

Crime of the Century is on release! A six minute film set to a song by Supertramp of the same name.
The film, made as a promotional video and included in an art project by Alexander is a political thriller about global terrorism, government oppression, and fear. Shown through newspapers, reality footage and fantasy creations like the model street set (built in-house!)
The film has won surprised praise from special effects and post-production industry experts (people whose credits include special effects on the Bond films and other epic films based at Pinewood) for the methods employed to create the film on such a tight budget, and the overall professionalism of the film.
